Rolo Tomassi Release Debut Album And Announce Headline Tour

Rolo Tomassi are set to release their hugely anticipated full length, debut album ‘Hysterics’ on September 22nd through Hassle (Cancer Bats, Alexisonfire) AND hit the road with a September UK headline tour. The album ‘Hysterics’ will be released with a free live performance launch party at The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch as well as an after-show party and gig at the Macbeth in Hoxton kicking off their headline UK tour on the same day.

Having released their debut self titled EP through the rather excellent Holy Roar Records in ‘07, the band enjoyed a year of shows, tours, some lovely press attention, an amazing Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 session and a daytime Radio 1 play, a final Holy Roar 7”

‘Beat Rotter’ and promptly signed with Hassle and set about working on their debut album. Rolo Tomassi have created ‘Hysterics’ with a joyous explosion of melody, noise, joy, anger, youthful exuberance, getting into the groove, not feeling the need to compromise or make music for any other reason than the drive to create something unique, chaotic and wonderful, a love of science, experimentation and punk/hardcore/whatthehellisthat-core. The slow building mix of riffs, abstract funk rhythms and space age hardcore synth utopia that is opening track ‘Oh, Hello Ghost’ sets up the album’s high level ambitions.

After a year playing shows and supporting the likes of Fall of Troy, Melt Banana, F***ed Up, 65days of static, I Was A Cub Ccout, Bring me the Horizon, Whores Whores Whores, Trencher, Horse the band, These Arms Are Snakes, Liars and Gallows, playing Download Festival and a host of other festivals to come (including Truck), ROLO TOMASSI can now announce their September UK headline tour.

Metal Blade Sihn Overcast

Metal Blade have announced the addition of legendary Boston Mass metal act Overcast to its roster. On August 19th Ovecast will release their Metal Blade debut Reborn to Kill Again, a collection of 11 re-recorded classic tracks and 2 unreleased tracks produced by Adam Dutkiewicz.

“Finally, after much waiting and wondering if it would ever see the light of day, Overcast is Reborn to Kill Again!!! We are all very excited to be working with Metal Blade Records for this release. It is a legendary label that has been home to some of the most influential bands in metal history. It was actually Metal Blade who gave Overcast our first release on CD as part of one of the Metal Massacre comps way back in the day so it seems as if everything is coming full circle. The time has come once again for the beast known as Overcast to rise again. You have been warned.” comments Brian Fair

“We are greatly honored to be able to work with and put out such a legendary artist as Overcast” comments Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records

Started in August 1991, Overcast disbanded in November 1998 after years of being turned down by labels, skimped out on by promoters, and a general sense of the band being too much of an albatross to continue. Heartbroken and emotionally taxed, each of the members went their separate ways. Brian joined Shadows Fall (a band who had opened for Overcast on many occasions), Mike D started working on a project called Killswitch Engage, Pete continued writing and ended up in a band called Seemless, Scott began playing bass in Transient, and Jay formed and played in many bands, finally settling down in the band Tunnel Drill.

Now 10 years has passed since Overcast was an active band. All of a sudden the stars have aligned, the planets have shifted, and old friends find themselves back home with substantial amounts of free time. Overcast is reborn.

Overcast’s Reborn to Kill Again available everywhere Tuesday August 19th

Ross The Boss

A mighty thunderbolt is shaking the ground.... the army of immortals is marching once again. Ross The Boss is back.

Finally, twenty years after the classic “Kings Of Metal” that he released with Manowar, Ross continues his legacy today with a true metal album that doesn't deny his past and displays his charismatic style of creating great music. Imagine a basket of first class, stomping, ground shaking epic heavy metal in the style of “Battle Hymns”, “Into Glory Ride”, “Hail To England” and “Sign Of The Hammer” – this is exactly what you get here. The title says it all: the “NEW METAL LEADER” has arrived!!!

But it´s not just big words: Ross let´s the music do the talking. Tracks like “Blood Of Knives”, “God Of Dying” and “I Got The Right” would have been highlights even on Manowar´s glorious releases from 1982 – 1988. The battle shouts of “We Will Kill” haunt you to the day you die, the thrilling up tempo smasher “Death & Glory” and a goodtime-rocker like “May The Gods Be With You” then round off the whole spectrum of ROSS THE BOSS. Add to this the majestic epic tracks “God Of Dying” and “Immortal Son” (both in the tradition of eternal hymns like “Bridge Of Death” and “Guyana (Cult Of The Damned”), every fan of the early Manowar must be crying out in joy! It´s a pleasure to see that “the Boss” has resurfaced with an album that sees him and his band proudly wave the flag of true metal again. Your NEW METAL LEADER is here. Welcome back, Ross!

New Metal Leader will be released on August, 22nd via AFM Records.

Sinner

The final part of the recording saga from the new Sinner album "Crash & Burn" was delivered to the record company over the weekend along with the master of the Limited Edition which will contain two brand new bonus tracks, the video clip for the song "Revolution" & a digipak design..

The final album contains 11 tracks and the track listing is as follows:

1. Crash & Burn (Mat Sinner/Igor Gianloa)
2. Break The Silence (Mat Sinner/Igor Gianola)
3. The Dog (Mat Sinner/Henny Wolter)
4. Heart Of Darkness (Mat Sinner/Magnus Karlsson)
5. Revolution (Mat Sinner/Henny Wolter)
6. Unbreakable (Mat Sinner/Igor Gianola)
7. Fist To Face (Mat Sinner/Henny Wolter)
8. Until It Hurts (Mat Sinner/Henny Wolter)
9. Little Head (Butch Walker)
10. Connection (Mat Sinner/Henny Wolter)
11. Like A Rock (Mat Sinner/Henny Wolter/Tom Naumann)

The album was produced by Mat Sinner & Henny Wolter @ The House Of Music studios and aside of the band, there are guest appearances by Dirty Sanchez (percussion) and Dennis Ward (backing vocals & percussion). The Limited Edition will be delivered in a nice digipak and includes two bonus tracks "One Night Only" (written by Mat Sinner & Magnus Karlsson) and "Fast Decision 2008", yes THE Fast Decision - created under bizarre circumstances, as AFM Records A&R representant Markus & drummer Klaus forced Mat in the studio, to record a new version of the forgotten jewel again. Mat was irritated about their sick idea first, but after some shots of booze, Mat agreed to sing this song for one last time. Finally, we've added the funky video clip for the song "Revolution" to the Limited one.

The band is totally satisfied with the final outcome and the work & motivation of the entire team, incl. engineer Dennis Ward, mixer Achim Koehler & studio owner Alex Kilb! Mat thanks especially his writing partners Henny, Igor & Magnus for the friendship and the great tunes and to Klaus & Christof for the great vibe & rocking to the max.

AFM Records will release "Crash & Burn" on September 19th with a tour following asap to support the release.
