Hanoi Rocks - Fashion

Demolition

Rating - 6/10

Review Dougie

Fashion is the lead off single from Hanoi Rock's soon to be released new CD Street Poetry. Already a number 1 hit in their native Finland when it was released back in May, the band are trying to repeat  modicum of that success here in the UK.

The title track 9tself is a catchy little number with a distinct 60/70’s vibe to it. Mind you that is hardly surprising given that the band now count ex Electric Boy Conny Bloom as one of their members, a band that definitely had a retro feel and were rather good live to boot - in fact the intro riff and the hook line of the Shadows, of all bands, in places - its the guitar twang thang - and features some cool guitar and vocal interplay throughout. Natch the video for the track features the band performing on a catwalk surrounded by some very attractive models thank you very much.

The second audio track, Trouble Boys, is another track with seventies feel but doesn't have quite the same quality about it. Mind you if I was drunk however it may just get me on the dance floor. The final video shows the current band in full live flight playing the classic  Boulevard Of Broken Dreams and ain't half bad.
