Dublin's Gama Bomb like to inject a large dose of humour into their classic bay area tinged thrash. Whilst this might offend some of the genres purists Gama Bomb deliver their performances here with such aplomb its clear that the band have a deep affinity for this style of music and it has all has come to fruition with this, their 2^nd album “Citizen Brain”. 

Coming across like a combination of Exodus, Slayer & Nuclear Assault circa 1986 with Onslaughts Sy Keeler on vocals "Citizen Brain" tick all the right boxes musically. Yes songs like "Thrashaholic" , "Hell Trucker" and "Time Crime", to name but three,are just plain silly but to dismiss the music on this basis would be to totally miss the point.

When you listen to the album the first thing that hits you is how authentic and accomplished the execution of the music actually is, only then do you start to realize that Gama Bomb are singing about zombies & beer ("Zombi Brew") or taking a pretty funny slant on climate change with "Global Warming, a song that contains the classic lyric "turned our trees into stacks of porn". 

History proves that bands who follow the light hearted path don't enjoy the longest of careers so it will be interesting to see how Gama Bomb evolve. For now though prepare to be "Sentenced To Thrash"
