Fleshcrawl - Structures Of Death

Metal Blade

Rating - 8/10

Review John Consterdine

German Metallers Fleshcrawl return with their follow up to 2004’s “Made Of Flesh”, but they are back with a vengeance with their new album “Structures Of Death”.

It may have been a long time since Fleshcrawl released their first EP, which was back in 1991, but Fleshcrawl have hardly aged gracefully, they can still shred your face off!  The title track of the new album, “Sturctues Of Death” is an in your face, stripped down death metal track that fans both old and young will appreciate. Elsewhere tracks like “Into The Fire OF Hell”, “A Spirit Dressed In Black” and “Into The Crypt Of Scattered Souls”  all showcase the tight knit precision and skill of this band.

Throughout "Structures Of Death" features killer melodies and riffs of incomparable catchiness played at break neck speeds, there really is nothing bad about this album. And if your not breathless and aching by the end the metal mayhem is brought to a close with the epic “War Of The Dead” which is a full on bone crunching death metal track. If that wasn't enough if you pick up the limited edition version of the album it also contains a cover of “Rockin’ Is My Business” by The Four Horsemen.

Structures Of Death is a great album by a very under rated band!
