Brigade return to action with this, the first single
proper from their upcoming sophomore album Come Morning We
Fight which is scheduled for release later this month. Lead
off track Pilot shows a band growing and evolving away from
their “EMO” roots and instead becoming more of a mainstream
rock band with huge cross over appeal. Pilot is definitely a
great introduction to this more mature style and compares
favourably with the likes of Green Day, Muse and to some
degree 30 Seconds To Mars. The riff and catchiness of the
track makes the choice to release it as the lead off single
seem obvious.
The flip side, if there
is such a thing in the days of downloads and MP3's is Yes it
Is, a none album track and one that sits slap bang in the
middle of where Brigade are now and where they came from
with their debut album Lights a couple of years ago. Even so
there is still an improvement here from what was on that
album, good as it was, and it all augurs well for the
release of album number two.
