A Silent Film are gaining a burgeoning reputation for the multi-sensory extravaganza that makes up their live show so how does this multifaceted musical experience translate to the cold, hard and sterile environment of their debut single? 

Available as a download only affair “Sleeping Pills” is a combination of Maximo Park's word-smithery allied to some sinewy bass and urgent, varied, instrumentation. There's  even some fairly prominent glockenspiel present, believe it or not. Of course it would be impossible to cram the whole A Silent Film sensory experience into a three minute single but there's certainly enough invention  and melody present on Sleeping Pills to bode well for the future. Well worth checking out.
